Nautilus is a mathematical camp, held 4 times a year for learners from grade 4 to 12. During this camp mathematical problems are presented to learners that are above the normal level of difficulty. Learners get the opportunity to solve these problems under the guidance of an expert teacher.
Each year we choose 8 grade 6 and 8 grade 7 learners from our school to represent Wilgehof at this camp. The learners are chosen on the base of merit is therefore considered to be our school’s top mathematics performers. If learners complete all four camps they are presented with a special certificate at the end of the year. More detail about Nautilus can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/nautilusmaths/.
